Exterior Pavilion Corridor Design (Revit & Twinmotion)
Nature, Light, and Materiality
This concept project proposes a wooden pavilion structure integrated into an existing exterior corridor to create a transitional spatial experience. The design aims to soften the boundary between architecture and nature by allowing natural light to filter gently through the pavilion framework.
Timber was selected as the primary material to establish visual continuity with the surrounding trees and landscape, fostering a sense of harmony between the built and natural environments. The pavilion structure guides movement while maintaining openness, encouraging users to experience the corridor as a place of pause rather than mere circulation. Light, shadow, and material texture change throughout the day, enriching the spatial atmosphere.
As a result, the corridor becomes an immersive architectural element that connects people, nature, and movement.
The pavilion’s repetitive structural rhythm creates a subtle sequence of framed views toward the surrounding landscape. The porous timber framework allows air and light to pass through freely, enhancing thermal comfort and sensory engagement. As users move along the corridor, the changing density of light and shadow reinforces a slow, contemplative pace.
Through this approach, the pavilion transforms an ordinary passageway into a spatial experience rooted in nature, materiality, and human scale.
