The Adaptive Hotel Lobby (3D Max & V-Ray)

Fusion of Functionality and Aesthetics

This project focused on redesigning the first floor of a business hotel located in downtown Busan, transforming it into a multi-functional space where a cafe and hotel reception coexist. The design aimed to balance practicality with comfort, addressing the needs of business travelers while creating a welcoming public environment.

A modern yet relaxed cafe atmosphere was established through careful material selection and furniture planning. Modular furniture was arranged to allow the space to be easily reconfigured for different uses, such as casual meetings, waiting areas, or short-term events, enhancing the overall flexibility of the layout.

Various decorative props and spatial elements were incorporated to soften the commercial character of the hotel and convey the image of an urban retreat. The resulting design presents the first floor as a calm and adaptable space within the busy city centre, supporting both functionality and user comfort.
